Welcome to our new monthly newsletter, where we will keep you up to date on the goings on of Atlanta Soul.

2024 Roster Announced

We announced a few players on social media earlier this month, including our two team captains, who are highlighted above!

To see our 2024 roster, head to www.vcmerchtent.com and navigate to Atlanta Soul's 2024 Player Sponsorship Program page. While you're there, consider sponsoring a player or coach by purchasing a limited edition jersey! This jersey sale is our largest single fundraiser of the year and raises one-third to one-half of our total budget for the season. It is so important to our organization and to our players, who get to feel your support in the form of their name and number on your jersey!

Our entire team roster, including practice squad, will be posted on our website on Friday. Visit www.atlantasoulultimate.com/team-roster to see everyone on our impressive 2024 team!

Frosty Fundraiser a Huge Success!

The Frosty Fundraiser disc golf tournament hosted by Atlanta Soul co-owner, Leah Tsinajinnie, was a great success! 80 players signed up, and the crowd had a good time playing despite the cold, windy weather. There was a significant juniors division, and Leah led a clinic prior to the tournament for the field of about 20 girls and non-binary players who were new to disc golf.

Your support allows us to continue to offer women and gender-expansive ultimate players with a place to train, get world class coaching, compete at the highest levels, and gain visibility for the women and gender-expansive pro athletes who play ultimate frisbee.

Your support allows us to continue to livestream games so fans everywhere can enjoy! And so clips of our players making incredible plays can go viral, contributing to increasing the 15% of current sports coverage dedicated to women’s sports.

Your support allows us to reach players who would not otherwise have the means to compete at the highest levels. Playing at the “semi-pro” level means players’ costs are covered (including travel, lodging, gear, uniforms, coaching staff, field rental, game day costs, etc.), and players receive a stipend to play.

Your support allows us to work toward our mission using a set of values that often requires slowing down, taking time for inclusive decision making, and ensuring that many voices are heard included in our business processes.

Girls-Only Youth Clinic this weekend

Atlanta Flying Disc Club (AFDC) is hosting a girls-only youth clinic this Saturday, and Atlanta Soul players will be there coaching!

Location: Anderson Park
Check-in at 1:30pm
Clinic at 2-5pm
Register in advance to attend.

This clinic is leading into the preparation for the USAU Youth Club Championships (YCC) tournament. This is a competitive summer program called Youth Elite Ultimate (YEU) and involves a tryout process in the spring followed by several practices throughout the summer.

The Atlanta U-17 Girls “rATLers” took home the gold at YCC in 2023! See the AFDC Juniors website for more information.

With two practice weekends under our belt, we're looking forward to a great year!
